Kip’s going on a field trip!

Since we had so much fun at the Strike Anywhere/Hostage Life/Flatliners show in Fredericton, we’ve decided to make the journey to Moncton to hangout with them again. If you’re going to be in Moncton on Thurdsay, June 19, be sure to come out to the Manhattan Room for a great show. Sorry 19+ only.

New Banner/Kip at Montreal Anarchist Book fair

Kip’s got a new banner. It has a slight typo, but we’re working on fixing it. Look for it at the next event!

Also, Kip will be a the Montreal Bookfair. We don’t have a table but we’ll be moseying about. Hope to see you there. 

Rally to protest law sending Lee to jail for Skateboarding

There’s going to be a protest tomorrow ( May 14, 2008 ) to challenge Fredericton city Bylaw S-9 which states “No person shall coast or slide on a slide, toboggan, wagon, skateboard or other device on a street in the city.” 

On April 30th 2008 Lee Breen was convicted of being in violation of this bylaw. Lee will surrender himself at the justice building at 1pm on Wednesday May 14th at which point he will be taken into custody and transferred to the Saint John Regional Correctional facility for five days. There will be a rally in opposition to people being jailed for using green transportation and in support of Lee Breen at City Hall at 12 noon.

Kip will be at the flea market at King’s Place in Fredericton this week. It will be our final week of tabling the flea market before a summer break. We’ll still be set up at events around town throughout the summer but will not be at the flea market regularly. 

We’re also gearing up to make a book order from AK Press! (akpress.org) If you’d like to order through us we can save you the shipping.
